Learn the science behind boiling water with an ice cube! Normally water boils at 100C but with an ice cube and a sealed container you can get water to below below the 100C mark. When the hot water boils in the unsealed jar the air is replaced with steam. The jar gets sealed with a metal lid. Then applying an ice cube to the lid will make the steam condense which lowers the pressure over the water and the water boils!
