Does it actually matter if you chew your food?

This experiment examines the effects of surface area and digestion using Alka-selzer. It is a fun lab you can try at home. By recording the time it takes to dissolve different sizes of Alka-selzer we can see how chewing effects the time it takes for food to dissolve in your stomach.
