Look what happens when ocean water meets fresh!

This experiment looks at what happens when two different bodies of water with different concentrations collide.

This experiment looks at what happens when two different bodies of water with different concentrations collide. First we look at a concentrated salt solution that represents the ocean. Then we collide cold water with room temperature water. For the conclusion we collide room temperature water with hot water. The different densities of the solutions result in one layer sinking below another and creating a current.
